The Daily News is a daily morning paper that covers state and national events, Jacksonville, Onslow County and Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune. The paper also has a Carteret County bureau with writers and a photographer who provide coverage of Carteret County activities and county-wide issues. One reporter also focuses on fisheries and environmental issues in eastern North Carolina.
