July 3, 2021  Havelock's Independence Day celebration is the prelude to a grand fireworks display in the evening. For years, crowds have enjoyed a variety of entertainment, including musical groups, clowns, and games. Tributes to those currently and those historically responsible for winning and preserving American freedom continue throughout the festivities, beginning at 5 PM. The concert performance is provided by the 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing Band and runs from 6:30 - 8:30 PM. Fireworks begin at 9 PM.
