December 11, 2021 Havelock Department of Parks and Recreation hosts a Christmas parade to launch the season and please the crowds along the curbs. Children gather candy and cheer as decorated floats and a visit from Santa Claus supply excitement appropriate to the season. Holiday music is provided by the members of the Marine Corps 2nd Marine Air Wing Band as well as other area bands, and the whole town turns out. The parade begins at 10 AM.
